What a title!
Every year European Best Destinations organizes the election of the best destinations in Europe... makes sense right! Alpe d'Huez was voted Europes second best ski resort for 2016 by the people who took part - A very impresive accomplishment considering how many resort there are in Europe! BUT this comes as no surprise to us, we know that it's a world powerhouse for everything snow. The terrain, the views, the snow, the food, the people and most of all the comfort, style and service of Ski Peak which compliment each other perfectly.

Alpe d’Huez and Vaujany are a true paradise for those who love snow and the great outdoors.
The resort is well known for its very sunny climate, dubbed 'the island of snow in the sun'. It has been developing since 1936 and sits perched on a full south facing plateau at 1860m altitude in the Grandes Rousses mountain range. The added bonus of the satellite villages (Auris-en-Oisans, Huez, Ozen-Oisans, Vaujany, Villard-Reculas, La Garde and Le Freney) allow people a varied choice of accommodation and price, something not many other resorts can offer.
People like snow sure resorts and with Pic Blanc towering at 3330 metres it offers this in abundance, married together with exceptional panoramas stretching over one fifth of French territory... It is something to marvel - camera at the ready!

The resort is endowed with facilities that harmonize with the natural features of the resort to offer holiday makers a whole host of indoor/ outdoor, summer/winter, sports and cultural activities. Of course we must mention the amazing skiing on and off piste. It has something for everyone... not just saying it, but we think its the BEST - perhaps next year we will be wearing the crown (Alpe d'Huez was third in 2015)!
Do you need any more reason to come and stay with Ski Peak? Surely not :-)
