La Villette

LA VILLETTE (1400m–3300m) is the sort of hamlet of which rural French Alpine dreams are made, but with a twist. Your beautifully restored private chalet is surrounded by gorgeous traditional mountain homes, where goats and chickens still inhabit cellars and lofts. Locals go about their traditional rural way of living as they have done for centuries and in the evenings a peace descends making your wood-fire lit lounge the perfect place to relax and really unwind. And the twist? Just above this mountain bliss – you’re linked to Alpe d’Huez giving you more than 240kms of world-class pistes with 80+ state of the art lifts combine to make a perfect old meets new.
Just over 1 kilometre up the road from Vaujany, La Villette is a village ski resort par excellence. It offers the slightly more adventurous and independently minded the chance to stay in surroundings the likes of which few remain, ski in and out of the village or take advantage of our shuttles and let us chauffeur you to and from the lifts.
All our accommodation in La Villette is in beautifully converted traditional fully-catered Alpine Chalets. They are complete with modern luxurious fittings, ensuite bedrooms, log fires, fantastic meals and French wines.
