La Villette

La Villette (1400m–3300m) is the sort of hamlet of which rural French Alpine dreams are made, but with a twist. Your beautifully restored private chalet is surrounded by gorgeous traditional mountain homes, where goats and chickens still graze the nearby fields. Locals go about their traditional rural way of living, so typical to the Oisans area of the French Alps as they have done for centuries and in the evenings a peace descends making your sunset aperitif in the garden or balcony simply bliss.

La Villette is nestled near the end of the road just over 1 kilometre up from Vaujany itself. This is the heart of the French Alps. It offers the slightly more adventurous and independently minded the chance to stay in surroundings the likes of which few remain, stroll to and from Vaujany through fields of serene Beaufort cattle, do your own thing and cater for yourselves in well equipped kitchens, perhaps cook up wonderful barbeques in the chalet garden, walk to the free village tennis courts for a couple of sets surrounded by amazing views, or just relax!

All our accommodation in La Villette is in beautifully converted traditional French Alps Chalets. They are complete with modern fittings, ensuite bedrooms, log fires, well designed kitchens complete with everything you’ll need. There’ s a bootroom for safe, dry storage of bikes and other equipment. You’ll be met and greeted by your La Villette Ski Peak Rep; you’ll have their number for any issues or advice, they can recommend great activities and days out and generally reassure you that they are but 5 minutes away should you need them.
