“Our party all had a most wonderful holiday! Firstly, the quite unbelievable food from Marcus, dishes we would never have experienced but for his skill and passion in his kitchen. Secondly, the service we received from the moment we arrived from all the Saskia team was just right, relaxed but highly attentive, particularly from Mark who had just joined you apparently! Thirdly, Saskia catered for our family’s needs perfectly, we have been skiing for over two decades and this holiday was one of our best and finally, Vaujany the Alpe d'Huez Grande Domaine and near perfect weather and snow conditions just made our time with you more memorable, Many thanks”,
Julian and Smart family, Chalet Saskia, XMAS 2011.
“Chalet hosts excellent all round. Fantastic food – best I’ve ever had at a chalet and I’ve stayed at quite a few. Also very tolerant and understanding of our children. Ski Leaders very helpful indeed-nothing seemed too much trouble”.
D Watson, Chalet Rostaing, March 2009.
There are some bragging rights that go with having skied our four fabulous descents each with a vertical drop of almost 2000m and each with no lifts required.
“The staff and company enabled our party of 20 to spend a very successful New Year. One of our most enjoyable Ski Peak experiences yet”.
Once upon a time no one would have believed you, but since 2009/10 you can authenticate your ‘First 8000m’ by validating your piste map. The ski lift staff at the start of the Pic Blanc cable car as well as the staff at the arrival of each of the 4 descents will validate your piste map.
Your achievement will be recorded by Piste Services and in exchange for just 1 euro you’ll be awarded a diploma. Even better news: the donation will go to the charity “A Chacun son Everest’ (Each Their Everest) designed and run by Doctor Christine Janin to help children with difficulties reach their own goals – so in some ways you really are Skiing Everest With Ski Peak!
Fancy a challenge? Well, this is one of the biggest and best on snow! At least once a week (conditions permitting) our intrepid Ski Peak Leaders take a small group of brave souls up to Pic Blanc at 3300m and begin an incredible descent down the world renowned Tunnel piste, continuing down Les Rousses and La Fare, a combination of black and red runs dropping more than two thousands two hundred metres without you having to get on any lifts. It is truly a great feeling of achievement and quite a rush to have completed such a feat and the celebrations continue into the evening in the Hotel Rissiou bar. Why ‘Champagne’ run? Because there is no better way to mark this achievement than with a free MAGNUM OF CHAMPAGNE prize draw in the hotel bar for those who complete. Sharing with your new fellow ‘Club 2200m members’ is of course optional, but encouraged.
